Shepherds Care

light in the darkness,

hope for the world,

true love as my home.

grace for my worn-down soul,

healing spring of wholeness.

My spirit lifts high,

a gentle hand lifts my chin,

seeing beauty in all.

terror flees as peace floods,

comfort fills the emptiness.

a moment of glory,

worth a thousand without.

uninitiated by my hand.

sent from a mysterious domain,

where angels are messengers,

and time stands still in eternity.

I long to spend all moments,

saturated in this presence,

for now, I keep still in this one.

Shepherd of souls,

finds me where I am,

gently leads me in care,

love and kindness in every act.

I am in the world,

to give what I receive,

my heart also,

longs to gather the weary,

in the fold of gods love.
