Always Traveling

I am preparing for a trip and getting into travel mode in my head. I love to travel and due to the pandemic, like most of us, I have been pretty stationary.

This morning in my meditation time, I had an awareness that was pretty profound about my presumption of not traveling much lately. I will share it with you here.

I began to see myself in motion. I became aware of the fact that I am on a planet that is always moving. The earth is rotating at high speed and I am obviously moving with it and so are we all!

The earth is not only rotating but hurtling through space on its 365-day course around the sun. We are not in the same space as we were yesterday. Just as this day has never been lived before, we have never occupied this space in the universe before.

We think maybe we were here last year at this time, but that is not the case. You see the sun that we are rotating around is also on the move. The sun is orbiting in the milky way and it will take us 230 million years to make one complete orbit around the galaxy.

Yet even if we happened to be around that long, we still are never in the same place twice, the Milky Way is on the move too. The universe is expanding and galaxies are on the move!

You see, we are always traveling. We are never stationary, we are on an adventure through uncharted territory. We have never been here before and never will be again.

This awareness kind of left my head spinning this morning, but also made me feel excited about the prospects of moving from day to day, from one adventure to the next.

Let's not forget that life is a gift, each day and each moment, and let's keep moving toward our dreams!
